High School - My daughter has been working with Ms. Jessica McCoy, since August of 2022. We meet twice weekly with her, and aim for two hour sessions or collectively four hours a week. Thanks to Jessica and her assistance with tutoring in all subjects, along with helping my daughter to become more organized, she is passing all subjects. She hasn't passed all subjects since 7th grade/middle school! She is now a Freshman in high school! She has a deficit in her math learning capabilities and also struggles with a processing disorder and dyslexia. Our upper school director has granted Ms. Jessica special permission to login on our private school portal, to make sure she knows exactly what our daughter has due each day/week. Meeting Jessica has made a tremendous impact on my daughter's ability to succeed in school. Her self confidence has grown significantly and her willingness to want to learn has as well. She refers to Ms. Jessica as her “assistant”. We are so grateful and thankful for her! I offer to help and she tells me “no, I’d rather work with Jessica because she understands me and how to help best”! Not sure what we would do without her! Ms. McCoy has been working with my daughter since the Fall of 2022 - Summer 2023 in the areas of reading and math. My daughter was extremely behind in school in these areas and had recently been diagnosed with autism and dyslexia. Since working with Ms. McCoy, my daughter has made huge improvements in her learning. Just last week, I received an email from her SPED teacher that she had improved on her reading assessment by 17 points and had made the highest jump of all her peers in the group! Ms. McCoy has undoubtedly made a tremendous impact in my daughter’s confidence and performance. She loves to go see Ms. McCoy each week and is motivated by her activities and approach to learning.
